See how to download Zoom recordings with captions and import them into 3CMedia Solutions for easy use (and re-use) within any of your Canvas shells.

You will need a 3CMediaSolutions account - free to California Community College faculty:

https://www.3cmediasolutions.org/

This is a great service to host your Zoom (and other) videos long-term storage and use.

3CMedia is integrated with Canvas, and once your videos are upload there, you can embed them in your content using the Rich Content Editor.

BTW - If your Zoom captions file needs work, you are not stuck with a weak version that you uploaded into 3CMedia at the onset. You can always return to the video in 3CMediaSolutions and "replace" the captions file with a newer and improved version!! It's very easy!

First, you can always open your transcript file from Zoom (.vtt) with a plain text editor and revise it. It doesn't have to be edited in Zoom.

Then, in 3CMedia, go to Media >> Find your file, click on it to open it, and scroll down to Captions file. Simply remove the original captions file and upload a new / better version.
