Canvas Studio Compatibility Issue

We are using Canvas Studio for Art 1A lectures. A student using the following equipment:

  • Acer Chromebook 14
  • Canvas app from Google Play

Just sent me this screenshot — she cannot see the lecture:

Other students have been watching the lectures. From STUDENT VIEW, I can see the lecture on both Canvas mobile app (iPhone, iPad) —and— Chrome on MacBook Pro.

Do your videos save into the students Libraries? Because that screenshot is from the students library.

The videos LIVE as a collection within MY LIBRARY level. When I import to a course, they are copied to COURSE MEDIA. Beyond that, I am just too new to Studio to understand how COURSE MEDIA behaves at STUDENT LEVEL.

Let me reach back out to the student to see if I can find out "how" they are attempting to access.

Additional information:

Course is designed so students access videos via an ASSIGNMENT within a MODULE.

From Student:

When I clicked the link on my chromebook that says "external tool link" in the canvas modules it just took me straight to the library screen that I showed you.

Here's what I see via CANVAS STUDENT MOBILE APP (iOS):

When I click the LAUNCH button, it works for me:

If the student is using a Chromebook 14, what other things can they try ON THAT CHROMEBOOK —or— is this a compatibility issue?

Problem solved:

I asked the student to check for updates. There was an update and it works now. Phew!

Oh, that is great to hear! I know nothing about Chromebooks, and I am expecting a few of these emails. So, forgive me for asking, what do you mean an update? is like a browser update? (did I mention I know nothing about Chrome books?)
