I am trying to find my quiz banks so that I can make some modifications on what was imported before I set up my final.  I want to adjust each test bank as I go for the first four exams and then I need a final exam bank for new content and finally I will draw from each of those for the final.  I can not find the banks to open without opening a test?

That's a good question.  Here is how I access mine.  I go to quizzes and hover hover the 3 dots.  There you should find the link to access test banks.

Hi Sue,

Go to Quizzes, then look for the gold-colored +Quiz button in the upper-right area.  Next to that button, you'll see a smaller "3 dot" button.  Click that to show a pull-down menu with the option to Manage Question Banks.  From there, you can click the name of a question bank to see and edit the questions inside.

Josie, I have had quizzes go into an imported folder.  Check your assignments page at the bottom.  It's probably not that, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Josie,

It sounds like the QTI import may not have worked. Perhaps you need to designate a question bank during the import process.

Do you feel comfortable sharing the QTI file with us to give it a try?

Vivie here is the one of the files I am trying to import.  Kerry thinks I can't import the folder that I need to try file by file - I will try to do that in a few hours - JM

@Josie Malik - Kerry is correct. You have to import a proper qti.zip file. You can't import a folder. It must be a .zip file in QTI format. Not expanded.

Thank You - I will give it another go - I am confused as to when do I say create a new test bank - after the download or before?

I just verified that it definitely works if you choose "create new question bank" as Vivie said.  I tried it twice and both times created a quiz and matching question bank.

@aaron-garner - Aaron - do you think you could give me a 1:1 6 ft apart tutorial?  Or a zoom showing me how?

I thought I posted this, but I guess not.  Josie, if you're on a Mac, the file might get automatically unzipped.  It does on my iMac so I have to re-compress it by right-clicking or Control/Click with your mouse.  Just a thought.

Hey I have a question for everybody ---

Is there a way to transfer an exam question bank from one course shell to another? Is it fairly easy? If you do know how to do it, can you help me by just letting me know how it can be done?
I'm teaching a summer course right now, and would like to transfer my exam banks (if possible) from my spring semester course shells over to my summer (now, summer 2020) course shells.

Hi, Brian:

Yes, there is!

Follow the steps outlined here:

How do I import a question bank from one Canvas course to another?

Just be careful and when you get to the step to select content, instead of "All Content", you want to choose "Select specific content."

Follow the steps. It should be straight forward. ?
