Gradebook and inbox not loading

Is anyone else having trouble with the gradebook or inbox not loading? This has been happening to me for more than a month. Sometimes they load, other times they don't. I can click on them from the dashboard, from a link in my email, or anywhere else. I can't predict when they will load and when they will not. They will say "inbox" or "gradebook" on top and display either the loading sign or sometimes in the inbox a "sending" blue box near the top- but even refreshing won't always (though sometimes does) get it to work. 

I know, I know, I should use another browser (I use chrome), but I just want it to load like it should when I need it to (ie. every time). Any suggestions?

PS- I just tried it on Mozilla- it's also not loading there.

Hi Sarah,

Though I have experienced slow loads lately (more like a volume issue Canvas wide), I have not had any problems fully loading Gradebook or Inbox. I have been using Chrome Browser Version 89.0.4389.128 on a MacBook Pro (2015). Just (now) updated to Version 90.0.4430.72.

It used to be that you could also choose Canvas Gradebooks with different features. @vivie-sinou: Not sure if that might affect? Also Sarah, I wonder if emptying your browser CACHE might help? (Again, Vivie might know better than I.)

CHROME > Preferences > Search Bar > Cache > Clear Browsing Data > Choose Options under "Basic"

Let us know if any of the above help.

@Sarah S and @deanna-de-azevedo - I've never heard of such behavior and nobody else has reported any issues. I also searched the Canvas community forums and found nothing. 

It's worth logging into Canvas from the Safari browser on your phone (NOT the mobile app) to see if the inbox and gradebook load there. If so, it will help narrow this down to your computer. There must be some conflict there (firewall or something). It is odd though that it affects just two tools (GB and InBox).

I would suggest that you reach out to Instructure. They have 24/7 Live Chat. See Help (?) on the left menu of Canvas and navigate to Contact Support.
