A few of my assignments require students to record and add videos as a Reply to my initial post; they can use any of the record and post features of Canvas, including Studio.
I've had several students say they have recorded, posted, and even taken timestamped screenshots of the submissions, but from my perspective, as the professor, I don't see the submission/reply/video. Of course, normally it's the student's word against Canvas', and I cannot allow too much leniency just because a student says, "But I know I turned it in." On the other hand, a timestamped video is pretty compelling evidence that a student did, in fact, submit the assignment.
Am I missing something, or is there another way to prove whether or not a student submits the assignment? Essentially, I have to take Canvas' word for whether or not a student submits and assignment.
