Question:  I am using the trial version of the Aww App, an online Whiteboard in my Canvas courses.  Do we have an equivalent drawing tool that is free?

I tried using our Microsoft Whiteboard, but I can't seem to embed an image.

I am using it to embed an image and then draw and use text to point out important points to my students.

Can you suggest anything?

I googled this to find out what may be available, and found this great resource:

https://ditchthattextbook.com/online-whiteboard/

I haven't had a chance to review them, but there appear to be some free alternatives on this list. Also remember that OneNote is free to you, as per Delta's Office 365 license.

If after reviewing the solutions in the above, you feel Aww app is best, you could talk to your Dean about getting an annual teacher license. But check out the others. Let us know what you think!

Do you have an iPad?  I do this sort of stuff all the time on my iPad along with One Note.  I'm sure you could do the same thing on a Surface Pro.

You can even do all this in Acrobat which has a drawing tool that works great.

@aaron-garner - I do this with my Surface Pro and OneNote, as well.

@vivie-sinou. It's such a great tool to have and super easy.  It's basically like writing on a chalkboard.  It's great to be able to do this for a live lecture.  We just have way too much fun with this stuff! Smile

@aaron-garner, I am working on a Mac desktop and Mac laptop.  No I Pad.

I hadn't thought of Acrobat.  Thanks!
